My Miracle Morning #70

This morning I woke up naturally at 5:50 am. After a nice shower, A woke up and after waking up D he decided that he wanted donuts. I told him that he had to walk to the donut shop if he wanted any. So A got dressed and we had a nice little walk down to the donut shop while D got ready for work. The walk took about 20 mins and A brought back donuts for everyone! D seemed to really enjoy the surprising treat before heading off to work.

So my morning exercise was a nice walk with my boy! Who could ask for a better way to start a day.

Affirmations:

  • I will finish my sewing project.
  • I will work on school for at least 30 mins
  • I will do laundry today
  • I will code for 30 mins
  • I will respond calmly when A asks for my attention.

Have a wonderful day!

My Miracle Morning #69

So this morning I was woken up around 3:30 am by A climbing into bed with us. Normally I would just roll over and go back to sleep, but this morning I was unable. So after an hour and a half of trying to get back to sleep, I just got up. This is the first time I have been able to wake up at 5 am since my pregnancy symptoms started. I am now 14 weeks pregnant and my symptoms have lessened. I still get tired out quickly and have bouts of nausea, but the vomiting now is only when a strong bad odor triggers it and tends to only happen first thing in the morning. So hurray for dry heaving! I have been having issues with drinking water so have switched to lime flavored seltzer water. The carbonation and the citrus flavor seem to be helping and hopefully, I will be able to go back to water and lemon water soon.

It has also helped I think that yesterday I had the energy to start deep cleaning the kitchen. I was able to empty, wipe, and replace every shelf and just have the fridge to finish cleaning today. I also pulled out the stove and cleaned under it, that was really gross. But the icky smell that has been plaguing me has lessened and I hope with the fridge finished it will disappear entirely. Now to get D to learn how to deep clean so next time he can do it.

My morning yoga was PREGNANCY YOGA: EPISODE 1.

My morning meditation was the first episode of the pregnancy series on headspace.

My Affirmations

  • I will be calm and patient when dealing with A today.
  • I will code at least 30 minutes
  • I will take the time to eat a healthy balanced diet
  • I will work on homework for 30 minutes
  • I will take the time to put things away

My visualization today is of a happy healthy baby after an easy natural birth.

I hope you have a wonderful Monday!

My Miracle Morning #68

This morning I woke up before my alarm at 6:30 am. My alarm was set at 7 am. So I am counting this as a win. After getting A to pick up some of his toys in his room I started my morning.

My morning yoga was PREGNANCY YOGA: EPISODE 1.

Then I paused to spray down the shower and take care of the strawberry tops that someone, D, hadn’t put down the garbage disposal yesterday. This caused me to start gagging and I ended up throwing up. D is in a little hot water because through all this he was sitting oblivious on the couch. D did apologize before heading to work, though. So I will forgive him and hopefully, he will do better next time.

My Affirmations

  • I will be calm and patient when dealing with A today.
  • I will code at least 30 minutes
  • I will take the time to eat a healthy balanced diet
  • I will work on homework for 30 minutes
  • I will take the time to put things away

I hope you have a wonderful Monday!

My Miracle Morning #67

So a quick update. I am now 12 weeks pregnant and things are looking up. At about 10 and a half weeks my morning sickness disappeared. So that was a huge relief because I was being hit hard with morning sickness. But then I came down with a very bad cold that took over a week to get over. Then to top it off A got the same cold but worse. He spent 24 hrs with a fever and is still dealing with the aftermath of coughing and snot. But we are all on the mend now and D seems to have avoided the bug so far.

My mornings are in a little bit of a mess. I have found that I need at least 10 hrs of sleep a night right now to function. So I am working on getting to bed earlier so that it is possible for me to wake up at least or 6 am. Also with the return of myself, I hope to start exercising in the morning as well.

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

My Miracle Morning #66

So I think I have gotten a routine down that includes the unfortunate things that have now taken over my days. Sleep, nausea, and vomiting. Currently, I am sleeping in as long as I can. Usually, till 6 or 8 am depending on if I am driving D into work or not. Eating a cracker or chip to try and prevent the morning dry heaves. Then if I don’t vomit within an hour I take my prenatal vitamins. I have also filled the house with dried fruit, canned fruit, veggies, and cheese.

Now that I have gotten used to all day nausea and occasional vomiting I now get to try and get my step count back up.

My Miracle Morning #65

So I am still alive! The last few days I have been dealing with some pretty intense nausea that starts about when I get up and tends to come and go throughout the day till I go to sleep at night. If I’m lucky I end up puking and I get some relief from nausea. I have been able to keep food and water down so it isn’t medically serious just a big annoyance. I am trying to eat healthily, but in the morning about the only thing I can keep down is bagels. Also, there is a smell of barbecue currently in my kitchen that I can’t seem to get rid of and it isn’t helping any. But other than that everything has been going great!

This morning I woke up at 5:30 am after going to bed at 8 pm. Oh ya, I am still getting really tired very early in the evening and have a tendency to go to bed early. My nausea kicked in almost at once and I have been sipping lemon water and waiting for it to settle before I eat my bagel.

My Affirmations:

  • I will respond calmly and rationally when my son asks for my attention.
  • I will code for at least 30 mins today.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

My Miracle Morning #64

This morning I woke up at 6:15 am to some lovely dry heaving. After trying to empty an already empty stomach. After I felt good so I took my vitamins. But just after we dropped D off at work I had to pull over and empty my stomach again. thankfully I had thought to bring a large canning jar so I didn’t make a mess in the car or parking lot. Now I am back home nibbling on oatmeal hoping that I will be able to keep something down.

Today’s Affirmation:

  • I will be calm and patient with A today as we go to his scheduled outings.

I hope your morning is going better than mine. Have a wonderful day!
