My Miracle Morning #79

So yesterday turned out to be a very bad day.
I felt off all day and I think A picked up on it and was feeling off as well.
But some good things did happen.
I got my new business cards in the mail!
Then to top it off I got my Jamberry StyleBox. So I took some time to do my nails. I think they turned out pretty good. Unfortunately, I tend to only have time to put on a couple wraps before A demands my time so I threw on some gel polish on the other nails.
Also to top off the happy events baby B was very active last night!This morning I let myself sleep in again but I also got a lot better sleep last night. So I’m hoping that today goes a lot better.

Today’s exercise is going to be a walk to the park/playground and walking at least 15,000 steps/bounces.

My Miracle Morning #78

So this morning was a slow start. I didn’t sleep very well last night so I allowed myself to sleep in till 7:30 am. Then I had to deal with laundry. So I have gotten house work done today but not much else yet.

My exercise today is to walk 15,000 steps or bounces.

  • I will fold all the laundry
  • I will be calm and rational with my son and husband

My Miracle Morning #77

This morning I woke up at 6:00 am with my alarm. I had a good start to the morning and even finished a book that I was listening to and was able to start a second one. Unfortunately, A has woken up grumpy. So after talking him down and allowing him to wear a shirt that was in the dirty laundry, not really dirty but he had worn it before, we had to rush out the door to get D to work.

Book Currently Reading

Finished – The ONE Thing: The Surprisingly Simple Truth Behind Extraordinary Results By Gary Keller. It was a very good book even if at times it seemed repetitive. I would recommend it to people who are struggling with productivity in their lives.

Started – By Will Durant The Lessons of History [Hardcover]

My Miracle Morning #76

This morning is going good so far. I woke up at 6:15 am because A insisted on using me as a pillow. Then after my shower, I cleaned up the kitchen, reheated extra pancakes from this weekend, took out the trash, packed D his breakfast and lunch, and started a soup in the crock pot. This weekend was a little crummy because D and I were both feeling under the weather. D I think has a bad cold and I have allergies and messed up a muscle in my back sleeping. So we spent the weekend playing video games and watched tv. Now it is back to work for me.

Today I plan on walking down to the vets’ office to get Teddy some flea medication. I have been fighting them with natural products for the last couple weeks with no success so it’s time to pull out the big guns. My step goal today is 14,000 steps.

My Miracle Morning #75

This morning had a rough start. A woke me up at 6:11 am and I was not doing well. So I went back to sleep for about 30 mins. After waking up I felt better and took my shower. I went into the kitchen to start breakfast and decided it had to wait because I was tired of having dishes left all over my counters. This morning some were clean and some were dirty from last night, a side effect of me being tired and going to bed early. So I spent 30 minutes cleaning the kitchen and ran the dishwasher. Then A decided he wanted to cut paper with his scissors. That’s no problem but I decided to get a clean living room out of it. So A and I spend the next 30 minutes picking up the living room. He is now happily shredding construction paper and gluing to itself and I am happily sitting in a clean living room. So now I should probably start breakfast but decided to take a little break first.

My exercise today will be walking down to the local Dollar Tree to buy more bubbles, and to Target so A can pick out a toy for his friend who is having a birthday party. Hopefully, the rain we are supposed to get tomorrow doesn’t get here early.

Today’s Affirmations:

  • I am a loving wife and mother.

  • I will work on school for at least 30 mins today.
  • If I see something out of place I will take the time to put it away.

The Miracle Morning #73

This morning I woke up 5 minutes before my alarm went off. After my shower, I made breakfast and got A ready for the day. Now I am getting myself ready to tackle the day.

So I have some positive news. Last week I averaged over 15,000 steps per day! Then to make things even better yesterday I spent the whole day out with A and I wasn’t overly tired at the end. So I have upped my step goal to 14,000 steps per day for now and hopefully, I will keep this energy level.

My Miracle Morning #72

This morning I woke up at 6:30 am to my alarm. Was able to grab a nice shower. Then A woke up and I had to make breakfast. Now somehow go sucked into programming jokes. But I am now refocussing. Yesterday I got a lot of my schoolwork done, 6 hrs. I was able to listen to my lessons on my phone while walking to the playground and back with A. So I am now 40% done with my Social Media Marketing class. Then I just have to take the test and I will be certified!

My exercise today is me bouncing on my exercise ball. I got it out yesterday to help alleviate the pain in my hips from walking. I will also be going for a walk this afternoon with A.

My Miracle Morning #71

This morning I woke up to my alarm at 6:30 am. I started my day with a shower. A was up already so I started on breakfast. So now I am posting and am going to start A’s school for the day. A is a little obsessed with school. So for Easter, I got him a big Preschool workbook and we are working our way through it almost every day. Some days we are quite busy with A’s homeschool co-op outings or like yesterday we spent most the day running errands and A took a long nap. I really appreciated the nap because he was very grumpy. I don’t think he slept very well the night before.

For my exercise today we will be walking to the playground in the afternoon.

My Miracle Morning #70

This morning I woke up naturally at 5:50 am. After a nice shower, A woke up and after waking up D he decided that he wanted donuts. I told him that he had to walk to the donut shop if he wanted any. So A got dressed and we had a nice little walk down to the donut shop while D got ready for work. The walk took about 20 mins and A brought back donuts for everyone! D seemed to really enjoy the surprising treat before heading off to work.

So my morning exercise was a nice walk with my boy! Who could ask for a better way to start a day.

My Miracle Morning #69

So this morning I was woken up around 3:30 am by A climbing into bed with us. Normally I would just roll over and go back to sleep, but this morning I was unable. So after an hour and a half of trying to get back to sleep, I just got up. This is the first time I have been able to wake up at 5 am since my pregnancy symptoms started. I am now 14 weeks pregnant and my symptoms have lessened. I still get tired out quickly and have bouts of nausea, but the vomiting now is only when a strong bad odor triggers it and tends to only happen first thing in the morning. So hurray for dry heaving! I have been having issues with drinking water so have switched to lime flavored seltzer water. The carbonation and the citrus flavor seem to be helping and hopefully, I will be able to go back to water and lemon water soon.

It has also helped I think that yesterday I had the energy to start deep cleaning the kitchen. I was able to empty, wipe, and replace every shelf and just have the fridge to finish cleaning today. I also pulled out the stove and cleaned under it, that was really gross. But the icky smell that has been plaguing me has lessened and I hope with the fridge finished it will disappear entirely. Now to get D to learn how to deep clean so next time he can do it.

My morning meditation was the first episode of the pregnancy series on headspace.
